The Alliance Centre for HIV Treatment, established in May 2016, is a global center for knowledge management, research, advocacy, and technical leadership to improve the HIV continuum of care.
The Centre is hosted by Vía Libre and supported by the international non-governmental organisation International HIV/AIDS Alliance. Vía Libre (www.vialibre.org.pe) is a leader in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment in Peru. Vía Libre has over 25 years experience of providing quality services to people affected by HIV through programs, social projects and scientific research with the active support of the community. Vía Libre promotes advocacy for the rights of the people who live with HIV.
The Alliance Centre for HIV Treatment will provide technical leadership of multi-country, community-led projects to reach more people in the most cost-effective way. It will develop strategies for resource mobilization and progressive financial sustainability, such as product development to improve the HIV continuum of care, and advocate for change.
